Depict Research

You Died by Sam Shaw ( video link ) The narrative for this video was that it was a video about the concept about what happens when you die which then ends up showing that you are just going to be looping the same video forever through rewinds. The overall video was animated and edited to make it look like a old cartoon or advertisement from the maybe the 60's, this also includes a few moments at the start where a few live action photos are shown, along with the resolution of the video as it's not widescreen but looks like to mimic the 4:3 ratio that would've most likely been used back then.  The type of themes within the video is the concept of the afterlife and the type of genre would be dark humour as it uses slapstick ways to convey the concept of death/the afterlife. Continuity Sequence

For this task, we were put into a group of made up of 4 people and given only 20 shots to work from to then make up a short video. When it came to filming, the camera was put on specific settings such as the frame rate being at 25 frames per second, the resolution being at 1920 by 1080 pixels, the stutter being at a normal speed (but can vary in for different shots) in order to create the shots. For the shots we were given certain amount of times we have to use in a shot for the entire 20 shot sequence such as using at least five close-ups to using at least one POV (point of view) shot along with that, the task was given a specific theme of involving package of some kind changes hands for which for our group chose a phone exchange between a normal person and a clown with the type of genre being a comedy, the video was also not to include any continuity errors, any visible cameras or tripods within the shots and no dialogue.
