Continuity Sequence
For this task, we were put into a group of made up of 4 people and given only 20 shots to work from to then make up a short video.
When it came to filming, the camera was put on specific settings such as the frame rate being at 25 frames per second, the resolution being at 1920 by 1080 pixels, the stutter being at a normal speed (but can vary in for different shots) in order to create the shots. For the shots we were given certain amount of times we have to use in a shot for the entire 20 shot sequence such as using at least five close-ups to using at least one POV (point of view) shot along with that, the task was given a specific theme of involving package of some kind changes hands for which for our group chose a phone exchange between a normal person and a clown with the type of genre being a comedy, the video was also not to include any continuity errors, any visible cameras or tripods within the shots and no dialogue. After all the shots were filmed, they were then all sorted through and then placed onto the editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro where the shots were edited together along with adding a few transitions such as a dissolve or wipe and also adding non-copyrighted music from Bensound for the video's background music.
For the finished video, I think the shots and transitions to other shots worked really well for the video and felt like it was going by the rule of having no continuity errors within the video and this is through both the final and post-production version of the video. I also thought the theme of package exchanging of the phone worked well for the video as it felt comedically timed throughout the video and with the editing adding to that, it worked well.
I think some of the locations chosen for the shots (example being at the start of the video) where the lighting in the room was too dark to fully see the match up for the next shot. I think also the choice of music could've been better but due to the limitations of the variety of music choices on the website and through the given music.
